youth workshops
Our youth workshops are the core of grit. It's why we started grit in the first place. The amount of teens with mental health issues has sky-rocketed - let's work together to fix that.
Our goal is to give people the tools they need at a young age to keep their brains happy and healthy through the tricky times. Using science-backed resources, we teach kids about the neuro-science of mental agility for a lifetime of emotional intelligence.
We also talk about real topics like friendships/relational aggression, identity, anxiety + mental health, self-regulation, stress, pressure, gender stereotypes, technology, compassion, empathy, privilege, and what being an authentic human is really all about.

Our light-hearted, fast-paced workshops are primarily designed for grades 3-7 and focus on practical skills for self-regulation, self-awareness, self-preservation + self-knowledge.
Our typical workshop series is 4 weeks,

friendship lab
In grades 1–3, kids are just beginning to explore how friendships and social power work — but they haven’t yet learned how to handle the tricky emotions that come with it: anger, jealousy, insecurity. So there’s often a disconnect between what they want (to belong) and how they try to get it (through exclusion, gossip, or manipulation instead of compassion and kindness).
By giving kids the language to name their feelings and the tools to manage them in healthy, pro-social ways, we can lay the groundwork for a lifetime of positive, empathetic pro-social relationships.
Friendship Lab — is a practical, mindful workshop where kids explore big emotions, role-play tricky friendship scenarios, brainstorm conflict resolutions, and tap into their naturally kind, social selves. They’ll leave feeling empowered, informed, and ready to handle whatever friendship challenges the year brings.
workshop fee: $200

lunch grit
Lunch Grit is a 6wk workshop held at lunch in your school.
In it, we un-pack how to be a happier human at school. We find tools for finding calm in stressful situations, we navigate our way through the landmine of tricky friendships, we deal with the pressure of expectations, we laugh - we create - we move our bodies and train our brains.
It’s the perfect break for half-way through the day.
We take care of registration and administration / School PAC takes care of getting the word out to parents.
